STUART – The Human Resource Management Association of Martin County (HR Martin County) an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), recently conducted its annual Auction and Raffle to benefit the SHRM Foundation. HR Martin County makes an annual contribution to the SHRM foundation, appoints a Foundation Coordinator, and hosts a special event in support of the Foundation. The annual SHRM Foundation Auction & Raffle was held on Sept. 21. The chapter, with over 100 professional members from across the Treasure Coast area, raised $2,159.00, which will be donated to the SHRM Foundation. The event was sponsored by Aetna and Michael Izzolo presided as Auctioneer.

The SHRM Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of SHRM, conducts an annual fundraising campaign to support their programming. They are supported by SHRM chapters and state councils, individuals, corporations and others.

A leading funder of HR research grants, the Foundation produces publications and educational resources and awards $170,000 annually in education and certification scholarships to professional and student SHRM members and doctoral students.

The mission of HR Martin County is to champion the highest professional standards of HR ethics and performance by providing ongoing professional development, resources, networking and support for its members and the community. HR Martin County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable and educational organization, which allows for all donations to be tax-deductible.
